Oracle released over ten new videos with a demo of mobile applications delivered together with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. With these applications, you can access data stored in the system and record certain types of transactions from mobile devices. Oracle points out that these applications are not duplicates of existing system formats but are brand new solutions developed from scratch, employing such native functions of mobile devices as touchscreens, GPS, or camera. Furthermore, these applications have been developed in independent versions for tablets and smartphones.

This is a must-read for all key users of JD Edwards, particularly at those organizations that intend to develop or upgrade their systems. The site contains product descriptions, documentation, training materials, and a lot of other interesting resources. Some information is available for registered users only.

Many organizations, particularly larger ones, need functions to support personal data protection in their ERP systems. This is of special importance if the address book is used to store data not only about corporate organizations but also private individuals. In such case, access to data must be controlled and default application-level security mechanisms are not sufficient.
