Oracle publishes a useful guide to the Internet of Things Orchestrator.

 

Internet of Things Orchestrator functionality is dedicated to companies using such devices (objects) as sensors or sirens used to monitor machine performance,
temperature devices cooling systems etc. Capturing data of these devices in a conventional manner involves the complex integration of using specialized equipment and expensive network connectivity.
Even with the overall integration manager or controller still needs to enter data into a spreadsheet or accounting software applications in the ERP system manually.
With JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator Studio, you can develop a mechanism called orchestration, which enable transformation of data from devices
in business processes improving the quality of work.
